The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has led to an outpouring of support from businesses and restaurants in Dubai. Many are pledging profits and hosting events to raise funds for those in need. Soul Collective DXB, in partnership with Emirates Red Crescent and the Little Wings Foundation, has launched the ‘Gather for Gaza’ campaign. The first event was a huge success, raising over Dh125,000 with the support of 300 attendees. More events are in the works, including a ‘soul food with community spirit’ evening at award-winning bistro 21grams on November 8. Spanish restaurant BOCA will host an exclusive six-course lunch where the entire ticket price will be donated to Emirates Red Crescent. Palestinian-owned Maiz Tacos is hosting a ‘Paint Palestine Workshop’ with profits going to the Tarahum for Gaza effort. Even the Emirates Literature Foundation is joining the relief efforts, with community events dedicated to the Tarahum for Gaza campaign. These events show the solidarity and support of the Dubai community for the people of Gaza.
