Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak hospitalized in Mexico City

Apple co-founder, Steve Wozniak, has been hospitalized in Mexico City, where he was scheduled to speak at a business forum, according to reports from Mexican and US media on Wednesday.

Wozniak, 73, was meant to address the World Business Forum on Wednesday afternoon but was escorted to a hospital after fainting, CNN reported, citing an unnamed source from the forum’s organizers.

Details about his health status were not provided in the report.

As per Mexican media, including the Televisa network and the El Universal newspaper, Wozniak suffered a stroke and is currently in a private hospital, where his condition is “stable”.

The software engineer co-founded Apple in 1976 with Steve Jobs, who passed away in 2011.

Wozniak was supposed to discuss his work with Jobs and the potential risks of technology, including artificial intelligence and cryptocurrencies, as indicated on the forum’s website.
