STORY OF A DREAM: MICRO ARTIST’S JOURNEY OF HOPE Samsun Masih, a Christian from Punjab, India, had a passion for art from a young age. Arriving in Dubai six years ago, Samsun dreamed of pursuing his ambition. Despite limited resources, he persevered to create intricate micro art. Lacking proper equipment, he experienced pain in his eyes, yet continued to hone his craft. Despite pursuing a diploma in traditional art, he struggled to find mentorship or opportunities. Moving to Dubai as a taxi driver, he hoped to showcase his work and find recognition. While his art has garnered some following on social media, Samsun desires to learn how to better showcase his work and potentially sell it. Uniquely, Samsun has created works on soap, etched letters on a grain of rice, and even etched landmarks in Dubai on pencil tips. Having left his job as a taxi driver to pursue his passion full-time, Samsun remains convinced that Dubai holds boundless potential for his art. He asserts that he will never return to painting, firmly believing that his micro art is truly unique and will eventually gain recognition in the art world.
