Air India, the national carrier of India, is set to enhance its international route network with over 200 weekly flights. The airline has already added more than 80 weekly flights and plans to introduce four new international destinations.

As part of the Winter Schedule ’23, Air India will significantly increase its frequency on eight international routes. This expansion includes boosting weekly flights on routes such as Mumbai-Singapore, Delhi-Bangkok, Delhi-Dhaka, Delhi-Newark, Delhi-San Francisco, Delhi-Washington D.C., Delhi-Copenhagen, Delhi-Milan, and Mumbai-Doha.

Furthermore, Air India has recently commenced services on four new routes, including Bengaluru-Singapore, Kochi-Doha, Kolkata-Bangkok, and Mumbai-Melbourne.

The airline’s CEO and MD, Campbell Wilson, emphasized the importance of both modernizing their fleet and expanding their route network to meet the growing demand in the market. Wilson stated that Air India’s transformation journey focuses on providing new products and services while also capturing the market’s increasing demand.

Looking ahead, Air India is expected to add more than 30 widebody and narrowbody aircraft to its fleet by March 2024. This includes the induction of six A350s, four B777s, and 20 A320neos.

With these developments, Air India aims to offer enhanced connectivity and an improved travel experience to its passengers.
