The 69th National Film Awards, a prestigious event, took place at the Vigyan Bhawan on Tuesday. Indian President Droupadi Murmu presented the winners with their awards. Notable winners included Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon, who won Best Actress awards, and Allu Arjun, who won the Best Actor award. R Madhavan’s directorial film ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ received top honors at the event. SS Rajamouli’s film ‘RRR’ swept six awards during the ceremony. In recognition of her contributions to the film industry, veteran actress Waheeda Rehman was felicitated with the Dadasaheb Phalke award.

One of the highlights of the event was Kriti Sanon winning the National Award for Best Actress for her performance in the acclaimed comedy-drama film ‘Mimi’. Overjoyed by her achievement, Kriti took to Instagram to share pictures from the event. One photo showed Kriti giving a warm hug to Alia Bhatt, who also won the Best Actress award for her role in ‘Gangubai Kathawadi’.
