UAE Announces Visa-Free Travel to Bosnia and Herzegovina

The UAE has made an exciting announcement regarding visa-free travel to Bosnia and Herzegovina. This development aims to facilitate easier travel and short-term visits to the scenic Balkan country.

In a significant move to strengthen bilateral relations, the Emirates and Bosnia and Herzegovina have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on visa exemption. The MoU, signed on November 6, 2023, aims to promote and facilitate travel, trade, and people-to-people exchanges between the two nations.

As per the MoU, citizens of the UAE and Bosnia and Herzegovina holding valid passports are now eligible for visa-free travel for tourism, business, and short-term visits. This waiver is expected to boost cultural understanding, drive economic growth, and enhance tourism between the two countries.

The agreement was signed by Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, the Minister of State for International Cooperation, and Elmedin Konaković, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Attendees at the signing ceremony included Zlatan Burzić, the Director of the Bosnian Minister of Foreign Affairs office, and Mirela Bubalo, Counsellor for the Bosnian Minister of Foreign Affairs. Both sides emphasized the significance of the MoU in strengthening bilateral relations.

This new visa-free travel agreement opens up exciting opportunities for citizens of the UAE and Bosnia and Herzegovina to explore each other’s countries and foster greater cultural exchange and economic cooperation.
