A select group of talented high school students had a unique opportunity to meet two influential members of the royal family of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, and Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, the Deputy Ruler of Dubai, earlier this month.

One of these students, Moza Aljanaahi, a seventeen-year-old medical student, found the encounter to be particularly meaningful. Last year, she achieved excellence in her class and was deeply moved by the leaders’ words, which reignited her passion for academic success. Their pride and encouragement motivated her to strive for greater achievements in her studies.

Moza’s educational journey has been strategic, emphasizing essential materials, effective time management, and a balanced blend of extracurricular activities. She advises prioritizing tasks and emphasizes the importance of not comparing oneself to others to stand out. She believes that maintaining a balance between studies and hobbies is crucial and advocates for a diverse range of interests beyond the classroom, such as painting, playing the violin, and exploring history and geography.

During her time in high school, Moza actively participated in Model United Nations (MUN), developing valuable skills in research, public speaking, and teamwork. Now a medical student, she continues to balance her studies with extracurricular activities, including being a part of the Space Medicine Club, due to her interest in astronomy.

Moza also organizes university events with the “Game Changers” team and believes in achieving balance with effective time management to avoid burnout. Her story and advice serve as an inspiration and example of excellence for young students aiming to excel academically and maintain a fulfilling and balanced life.
